Lawn Care

Lawn Care...

Lawn fertiliser and sulphate of ammonia can be applied to the lawn at a rate of 30 grams per square meter (approx. one handful). This will boost the grass growth and suppress growth of broadleafed weeds It is commonly believed that fertilising with lime will get rid of moss in the lawn. That is not really the best solution as lawns prefer acidic soil and lime makes soil alkaline. It would be better to spray the lawns with lawn-spray to kill moss and other selected weeds.

If broadleaf weeds are a major problem you might have to use a selective weedkiller e.g. Turfex to kill these weeds. If moss is a problem in those shady or poorly drained areas spray with Surrender. Many bare or thin areas of lawn can be raked and re-seeded.
